![]() For women, firearms and hunting training strengthen self-assurance, encourage self-reliance, and offer truly life-saving personal safety strategies. The NRA offers women scholarships and a variety of cutting-edge hunting, shooting, and self-defense programs.
One of the most popular programs is the NRA Women’s Wilderness Escape. It provides women 18 and older with a nine-day getaway to experience the softer side of firearms education with exposure to a wide variety of shooting sports activities and an array of enticing hunting and outdoor-related activities. Women on Target® Hunting Programs and Instructional Clinics (WOT), offer a wide variety of game through diverse hunts created for women, by professional female outfitters. Our nationally renowned self-defense course is taught through a half-day seminar called Refuse To Be A Victim®. NRA instructors teach women the personal safety tips and techniques they need to avoid dangerous situations and becoming a victim. |
